My husbands father was the photographer in his family. He passed away in 1979 and from that time until the late '90's his old Minolta's sat unused. I drug them out briefly and practiced with them with very little knowledge and even less skill nearly 15 years ago and again for a few brief shots of our daughter when she was little about eight years ago.
Once again I've gotten them out. This time understanding a little more. I must say, manually focusing was a challenge and low light very hard! Most of the shots I got were pretty bad but there was one or two I liked. The above was shot with black and white film on the back porch of a friend of mine and one of the few I liked.
